Management

For Companies Act purposes, the Company is managed by a Board comprising two Directors, together with a Company Secretary. Day-to-day activities are in the hands of an elected 15-person Executive Council which includes the two Directors, and comprises serving Regular, serving Reservist, and ex-service personnel from all three Services and ranging in rank or former rank from Corporal to Lieutenant Colonel. See details of the BAFF Executive Council.

In accordance with the BAFF Constitution, the Executive Council is assisted by a small number of co-opted Federation members, mostly Regular personnel, both commissioned and non-commissioned. As co-opted "experts" they act in an advisory capacity without formal voting rights on the Executive Council.

Most of the Federation's ongoing daily work is carried out by members of the Executive Council, assisted by our professional advisers, and by those of our general membership who lead particular campaigns and initiatives. BAFF currently has no full-time employees. Therefore, the best way of contacting us is electronic mail. Contact BAFF.

BAFF has no connection with an association known as "The Combined Armed Forces Federation UK" (CAFFUK) which campaigns on a pension injustice to many who served as "other ranks" in the Regular Forces before 1975. The Armed Forces Pension Group (AFPG) also campaigns on that matter.

BAFF welcomes opportunities to engage and co-operate with parliamentarians, service charities, and appropriate interest groups, as well as with relevant Government bodies (central, devolved or local), but the Federation does not represent any interest other than its own Members.

The BAFF logo which appears on this website was adopted at the Federation's launch as its principal trade mark. The design cost was donated by BAFF member Richard Bartle.
